I am writing on behalf of ANM Digital, the team behind the Proud Muslim mobile application.
Proud Muslim is an Islamic application providing prayer times, Qur’an reading and audio, Adhan notifications, duas, Islamic calendar features, Qibla tools, and other Islamic resources in multiple languages.
We came across the Adhan audio recordings available through AlAdhan / Islamic Network, and we would like to request permission to use one or more of these recordings in the Proud Muslim mobile application.
Specifically, could you please confirm whether ANM Digital would be permitted to:
- Include selected Adhan audio recordings in the Proud Muslim mobile app.
- Distribute those recordings as part of the application through Google Play.
- Use the recordings in an application that contains both free and paid/premium functionality.
- Store the approved recordings locally within the application or on our supporting infrastructure so that Adhan notifications can operate reliably, including when the app is in the background.
- Perform necessary technical processing such as volume normalization, compression, noise reduction, or format conversion, without materially changing the Adhan or recitation.
If these recordings belong to individual reciters or other copyright holders, we would also appreciate it if you could advise us who owns the relevant recordings and from whom we should obtain permission.
If permission is available subject to a particular licence, attribution requirement, commercial-use condition, fee, or other restriction, please let us know. We would be happy to provide appropriate attribution within Proud Muslim.
Our intention is to ensure that every Adhan recording distributed with Proud Muslim is properly authorized and that the rights of the reciters, recording owners, and Islamic Network/AlAdhan are fully respected.
