Assalamu alaikum.
We cannot reach api.alquran.cloud from our server. Our IP address is: 157.230.42.63
Below is what our programmer said:
- I found that our server is a DigitalOcean Singapore droplet (157.230.42.63), no IPv6.
- api.alquran.cloud is a CNAME to qji17fayka6.geo.on.bahriya.app → 5.223.42.94 (same operator as cdn.islamic.network, islamic.network, alquran.cloud).
- From this server, all of islamic.network / bahriya infrastructure is unreachable — API, main site, and audio CDN. TCP 443/80/22 and ICMP all time out.
- General outbound is healthy (Google, WordPress.org, GitHub respond in <1s), local firewall is ACCEPT/ufw inactive.
- mtr shows packets reach the target's own network (last reply: 5.223.8.102, same AS) and then get dropped. So the block is on their side, likely blocking DigitalOcean SGP IPs or a routing/return-path issue toward your range. That's why it works from your server/local.
Could you please look into this issue and give a feedback?
Jazakallah
