I am developing a Quran application and would like to use the Quran recitations provided through the Al Quran Cloud / Islamic Network API and CDN.
I would like to confirm that my use of the recitations is permitted under your terms.
The app is free to download, and access to the Quran—including reading the Quran and listening to all Quran recitations—is completely free. The recitations will not be placed behind a paywall or require a subscription.
However, the app follows a freemium model and includes some optional paid features that are separate from Quran recitation access.
Could you please confirm in writing whether I may stream and/or cache the Quran recitations provided through your CDN in this type of application?
I would also appreciate clarification on the following:
Does this permission apply to all reciters currently available through the Al Quran Cloud / Islamic Network CDN, or only certain reciters/editions?
Are there any attribution requirements that I should include in the app?
Is local caching or downloading of the audio within the app permitted?
Are there any additional licensing requirements I should be aware of because the app contains optional paid features?
I want to make sure that I respect the rights of the reciters, their estates, and the organizations that provided the recordings.
