Jazakum Allahu khayran for the AlAdhan API, the Adhan audio resources, and all the work you do for the Muslim developer community.
I am currently developing Qurba, a free Android Islamic application built with Flutter. One of its features is prayer times with automatic Adhan notifications.
I would like to use some of the Adhan recordings available through the AlAdhan Adhan Downloads and bundle them directly inside the application so that the Adhan can play offline at the appropriate prayer time.
Specifically, I would like to include:
A regular Adhan recording for Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha.
A Fajr Adhan recording that includes "Prayer is better than sleep" (الصلاة خير من النوم).
The recordings would be bundled inside the Android application and played locally without requiring an internet connection.
Regarding the application
Qurba will be free to download and use. I may use advertisements in the application in the future, and I may also provide an optional donation option to support the project.
There will be no charge specifically for accessing or playing the Adhan recordings.
I would like to make sure that I fully comply with your terms before including any recordings.
Would the permission to use the Adhan recordings from the AlAdhan download page cover Qurba under these conditions, including an ad-supported and donation-supported free application?
Also, if permission is granted:
Is there any required attribution or credit that I should display inside the application?
Is bundling the audio files directly inside the APK/AAB permitted?
Are there any specific Adhan recordings that I am not permitted to redistribute?
Does the permission cover both regular Adhan recordings and Fajr Adhan recordings?
I will of course respect any restrictions or requirements you specify, and I can provide the application package name or additional information if needed.
