Clarification on Licensing and Usage Rights for Quran Recitation API

I’m currently using your API to provide Quran recitations in my platform, which serves over 300,000 monthly active users. I truly appreciate the effort behind your service.

I just wanted to kindly clarify a point regarding licensing and usage rights. It seems that some recitations (from certain reciters) might have copyright or ownership considerations, so I wanted to better understand:

Does your platform hold full rights to distribute all the audio recitations available through the API?
Are API users allowed to freely use and redistribute these recordings within their applications?
Are there any specific reciters or recordings that come with restrictions or require attribution or special permission?

My goal is simply to make sure everything is used properly and in full compliance.

Also, if there are any limitations, I’d appreciate guidance or suggestions for alternative sources with clear licensing.

Most of the audio files are completely public domain and have been taken from everyayah.com or globalquran.com when the platform was launched over 10 years.

Many have been added subsequently and the name of the providers are in the description, for instance, the Russian audio from 1MuslimApp.

But the copyright still remains with the reciter.

To specifically answer your 3 questions:

There is no explicit right granted - what comes with something in the public domain is the right exercised. So it may be called implied.
Yes. But please weigh the moral decision of using what someone (the reciter) has made available for free and putting it behind a paywall. This may lead to the reciter exercising their copyright.
No, but where possible one must always attribute.
