Gitlab is no longer a viable option as it's public company with a substantial amount of stock owned by the likes of Blackrock.
Depending on your requirements, you can also self host OneDev (1x.ax runs this) or Gitlab or Gitbucket.
If your projects are all open source, you can also use Codeberg.
